This spritz recipe balances the classic bitter flavors of a spritz perfectly with tart cherry juice and grenadine for sweetness. Top it with Prosecco and soda water for bubbles, and you’ve got a refreshing bittersweet aperitif to help you beat the heat!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz tart cherry juice
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice 
  • ½ oz grenadine 
  • 1 oz Aperol 
  • 3 oz Prosecco 
  • Soda Water 
  • Lime Wedge

Instructions

  • Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add cherry juice, lime juice, grenadine, and aperol Mix together well until combined. Top with 3-4 oz of prosecco and a splash of soda water.

Notes

Note: If you need a substitute for Aperol, you should go for a similar bitter aperitif. Something like Campari, Lillet, or an aperitivo would be good!
