(My Neighbor's) Cara Cara Orange Margaritas

Cara Cara Orange Margaritas are refreshing, tangy, and super easy to whip up! Make this recipe on the rocks or frozen, but don’t forget to rim your glass with tajin for an extra burst of zesty flavor. Citrus is at its best in the winter, but you can enjoy this vibrant cocktail year-round!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 oz cara cara orange juice 
  • 1 oz cointreau or orange liquor 
  • Tajin for rim

Instructions

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of an old fashion or coupe glass. Tip into some tajin and shake off excess. 
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, cara cara orange juice, and cointreau. Shake for 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

Notes

You can keep your cara cara’s on the counter for 4-5 days or in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
