Ingredients

For peaches:

  • 6-8 fresh yellow peaches sliced
  •   cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter diced

For cobbler topping:

  • ½ cup butter melted
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F
  • Add peaches, sugar, and cinnamon to a large casserole or baking dish. Dollop peaches evenly with butter cubes.
  • In a separate bowl mix, melted butter, sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together until a cookie batter type dough starts to form.
  • Clump together the batter and spread evenly over the top of the cobbler.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the sides are bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  • Allow cobbler to cool for 15-20 minutes to set and serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream.

Notes

Ripe Peaches: If your peaches are very ripe and juicy, you may not need the extra butter dolloped on top. This helps create more juices if your peaches aren't all the way ripe.
