Hi! Hello! Happy Tuesday from Philadelphia!

Yes yes I am over on the east coast this week visiting my boyfriends family.

Do you guys know how insanely humid it is here?! Like whoa, it is quite overwhelming. Besides trying to deal with the humidity I have had quite the relaxing little family vacay with the Storb’s. Today we got authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and wandered around Independence Mall for some touristy bits.

This Tuesday is certainly not like the others. On Tuesday’s Jared and I usually head to Bar Louie which is this fun little gastro pub type restaurant. If you haven’t heard of it you can check it out here. Now, it is a chain but they offer the best burger special on a Tuesday. For only $5.00 you get a whole burger meal. You really can’t beat it.

Then afterwards, I end the night watching the new episode of Pretty Little Liars.

Tuesdays are pretty fantastic if I do say so myself.

Going out to restaurants and being able to sample new burgers each week is what inspired this peach bourbon burger! As a blogger I am constantly seeking new inspiration for content and it often comes from my favorite eateries.

This burger is like THE summer burger. It’s got bourbon. It’s got peaches. It’s basically everything you want on a summer afternoon 😉

Grilled peaches give off this amazing juicy charred taste and the bourbon just screams burger. While peaches are my favorite in desserts this is undoubtedly delicious and completely worth a savory try. I used swiss cheese on these burgers but havarti or brie would be just as wonderful! I know putting a peach on a burger may seem out of your comfort zone but just try it! I promise you will love it! ‘

Now get that handle of Jack Daniels out and fire up your grill. Let me know how your burger turns out because I gotta get going… PLL is on!

PEACH & BOURBON
BURGERS

1 Lb of 90/10 ground beef
1 Tablespoon of fresh thyme sprigs, roughly chopped
1 Teaspoon of freshly cracked pepper
2 Teaspoons of garlic salt
1/2 Teaspoon of smoked paprika
2 Tablespoons of freshly minced garlic or 1 teaspoon of granulated garlic
3 Peaches, thickly sliced
1/4 – 1/2 Cup of bourbon
1/2 Cup of brown sugar
4-5 Ciabatta buns, toasted
+Onions, lettuce, and swiss cheese for topping

In a medium bowl combine sliced peaches, bourbon and brown sugar. Set aside for 30-60 minutes to soak in flavor and release fruit juices. Reserve juiced in bowl.

In a large bowl combine ground beef, thyme sprigs, pepper, salt, smoked paprika and garlic. Form mixture into 4-5 burger patties. Heat grill to medium – high heat and grill peaches on each side for 3-5 minutes.

Grill patties 5-10 minutes on each side for a medium pink burger or until beef is at desired doneness. Baste burger sides with peach juices. Melt cheese on burger tops for 1-2 minutes. Arrange toppings and bourbon grilled peaches and top with ciabatta bun.
