Italian Margarita

An Italian inspired take on a classic margarita. Swapping in limoncello gives this cocktail an Italian essence that will transport you to the Almafi coast right at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz fresh blood orange juice or pomegranate juice if not in season
  • 1 oz limoncello
  • 2 oz blanco tequila 
  • Club soda top top (optional)

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add in lime juice, blood orange juice, limoncello and tequila. Shake for 20-30 seconds or until the cocktail shaker is well chilled. 
  • Pour into a low glass with ice, top with club soda if desired and garnish with a blood orange slice.

Notes

*If blood oranges are no longer in season, feel free to swap in pomegranate juice for a similar deep flavor and color.
