Hello from Colorado! So far it hasn’t been to cold (didn’t even have to deice my car!), shoot day number one with Purely Elizabeth went smooth and I am feeling all the good memories from my time here in College. It is the end of day one from the book shoot that I am out here working on and let me tell you… I’M POOPED. Like my back hurts, my eyes feel funny from focusing and my brain is like limp spaghetti. BUT, I’m so happy! It was a full day of amazingly creative work. I love collaborating with the ladies from Purely Elizabeth. I’ve said it once and I’ll probably say it again, I seriously love styling and directing photoshoots. They make me so happy. I love shooting blog content on the regular but sometimes these shoots can be a creative push that you just need once in a while!
I am currently staying with my Aunt while I’m here for a few days. Tomorrow is the second and final day of the photoshoot. We’ve got a mega shot list to go through and a ton of clean up but I’m ready for it. Ready to get in there and knock out some incredible images. Then I’m off to dinner with an old college friend for some homestyle Korean food. That feeling of having dinner and a glass of wine after a long shoot is seriously indescriable.
I am still on the work grind over here so I thought we would celebrate with a really tasty kombucha mocktail. I feel like mocktails are super popular in January because everyone is still on there ‘new year, new you’ kick. Which is great, so I’m making my contribution with these. I also would like to express my love affair with Kombucha. Sorry Jared, I love you and all but Kombucha and I have tied the knot and everything. I first started drinking it around this time last year and I kid you not I lost like 5 pounds in a few weeks. It totally cleansed me and made me feel sooo healthy! The side effects have since weened down to a milder level but I still try and have one 1-2 a week. I have been wanting to do a Kombucha cocktail for a while now and I think I may have a few more up my sleeve, so stay tuned!
Going to keep this post short guys because I’m pretty thrashed but I will say that you should 100% give this cocktail a try if you’re a fan of pomegranates and pineapples because it is so flavorful, fresh and a little bit of a gut cleanser!
