The Sunday Slate: Vol. 8

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I rounded out Friday with quite a long work day so I took it real easy besides a quick work shoot on Sunday morning. Friday afternoon I had my favorite cinematographer Will, come to the house to shoot 2 new videos 🙂 He filmed this video for us! One is an entertaining focused video and the other is a really silly lifestyle video that I think you will love, *hint! it’s just like these!  On Saturday we went to an extra hard work out class, grabbed acai bowls and then I seriously fell into a coma nap on the couch for a good three hours. I hadn’t taken a nap in a loooooong time and I think it seriously set me up for a GREAT week. I felt more refreshed from that nap than my nights sleep! 

Sunday we went over to my Nannas for a BBQ and a few hours of swimming. This week feels super short to begin with but it was a nice way to kick it off! Do you guys have any exciting plans for the 4th of July?! I am going to be hopefully having plenty of cocktails in the pool with my American flag swimsuit on! 1. IGTV…

Alright alright we gotta talk about it! I found out about Instagram TV the morning of from a podcast. I wasn’t sure if I actually believed it but then a few hours later, there it was! I honestly have really mixed feelings! I think video is so beautifully created in a horizontal format. What does this mean for cinematographers? Will the quality of our video be compromised because of how it needs to be filmed for Instagram TV?!

I honestly don’t have the answer. I think the platform in general is trying to encompass entities from youtube, pinterest and facebook. I am also feeling very happy about Instagram TV because Instagram is by far my biggest platform so this could mean great opportunities for myself and other large instagram influencers. I have a few videos up but I would love to give it a few months to really craft an opinion about the newfound platform. Stay tuned!

2. Casual Wedding Guest Dress Options!

I absolutely HATE buying something that I will only wear once. It’s one of those seasons where we are buying dresses for occasions left and right. These are some of my favorite that are just nice enough for an event but options that you can still wear again 🙂
