Uh is it just me or has it been unusually freakishly hot this last week?!
The last few nights out the only beverages I have been drinking are rosè and iced water. You get to the point where the heat gets so intense you just are a little consumed by it. I’m ranting just thinking about it.
While the heat does make me a little loopy I love basking in the sun. I plan on wearing a sundress 24/7 and eating every meal outside until as long as I possibly can. While rosè is taking storm and may even be considered “summer’s water” I do believe it is making a lasting impression and growing timeless for the summer season. It’s like the pumpkin spice latte of fall or the warm apple cider for winter. If you have not dipped your toes into rosè yet, give it a chance. You can’t go wrong.
And if you do feel like you went wrong try it as a sangria!
Hence this Rose Lemonade. It’s fruity and boozy and completely quenching during the summer time. You know the lemonade that you get from hot-dog-on-a-stick ?! It’s like taking that base and making it boozy.
Filled with lemonade, fresh berries and wine. You really cannot go wrong. Enjoy!
Rosé Lemonade
1 – 750ML Bottle of rosé wine
8 Ounces of vodka
2 Cups of lemonade
2 Lemons sliced
2 Cups of raspberries separated
2 Tablespoon of sugar
1/4 Cup of water
In a small sauce pan combine 1 cup of raspberries, sugar and water. Heat on high until boiling and until berries have bursted. Strain mixture, discard the berries and reserve the juice. Add juice to rosé. In a large pitcher add in lemon slices, remaining raspberries, wine-juice mixture, lemonade, and vodka. Stir well and refrigerate for 2-4 hours before serving.
Cheers!
