Why you’ll love this mint mocktail
Refreshingly sweet! A little of this and a little of that makes for a balanced and sparkly drink. Just like a crisp cucumber mint mojito, you get sweetness from the agave syrup and tart, pucker-up flavors from the lime juice. It’ll make you keep going back for more.
You’ll never miss the rum! Don’t get me wrong, cocktail recipes are my jam. But I can assure you that you will never miss the rum with this mojito virgin. The fresh mint and lime provide so much essence on their own.
Perfect for a party! Looking for a fun, fantastic way to celebrate without the boos. This is your ticket there! The recipe is easy to scale up. Just multiply the ingredient measurements by however many drinks you need and — voila! — a mocktail recipe that’s party-ready.
Ingredients
Nothing beats a mocktail recipe that requires a short list of ingredients — most of which you probably already have on hand. You will need:
- Lime juice
- Fresh mint leaves / mint sprig
- Agave nectar or simple syrup
- Soda water
- Lime wheels
How do you mix a mojito mocktail?
A sturdy muddler and large bar spoon come in handy when mixing together this mint mojito. Simply prep all the ingredients first and then mix away.
- Muddle mint and lime: In the bottom of a high ball glass, add lime juice, mint leaves and agave. Muddle together until leaves are wilted and fragrant.
- Fill and stir: Add crushed ice and finish with soda water. Gently stir together with a bar spoon until the mint leaves are evenly distributed from the bottom.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with lime wheels and a large fresh mint sprig that pokes out from the top. Enjoy with a straw!
Make it for a crowd

Since the beauty of a mojito is all about the muddled mint, I recommend making each one individually in your glasses of choice, if making for a party. I like to have the ingredients prepped and ready, line up all my glasses and then muddle and stir assembly-line style.
Serve these with salty snacks like blue cheese stuffed olives, steak frites and chipotle chicken nachos.
Recipe tips:
- Muddle just until the mint leaves are bruised. You want to gently release their essential oils without shredding the leaves.
- Stir the cocktail at the end. This helps to lift the mint leaves up from the bottom, making for a better presentation.
