A fresh and frothy Peach Wine Slushy featuring a mix of frozen peaches, strawberries and a whole bottle of your fav rose or white wine.
It’s an easy summer cocktail that’s clean and crisp to enjoy on the beach, at a picnic or among laughter with friends.
This year seems to be the year of peaches. I can’t get enough. I have made Cinnamon Peach Bread, Peach Daiquiris, even S’meaches!
And now comes another fabulous recipe that celebrates the sweet goodness of this fuzzy fruit – peach wine slushies! Jared and I have been sipping these away on our current staycation, but I love to serve these for happy hour, too.
Frozen peaches make this cocktail recipe so easy and convenient. The sweet-yet-tart strawberries add a special pop. And the wine, well, this summer drink gives me an excuse to use up an entire bottle.
I’m talking to all you rose and white wine lovers! It’s basically a super-fast version of strawberry peach frose.
The Best Wine for Slushies – Fruity, Sweet or Dry
This peach wine slushy recipe creates a drink that is ultra-fruity with just a hint of wine flavor. But the wine you use does make a difference.
I used Sauvignon Blanc, which made the slushies light and fruity. But feel free to use a Moscato for a sweeter flavor, Pinot Grigio for a drier, grape-forward flavor or Chardonnay for an oaky flavor.
Ingredients
The bulk of ingredients in this summer peach slushie are found in the frozen section of your local grocery store. Gather together:
- frozen peaches
- frozen strawberries
- ice
- honey (optional)
- rose or white wine
Peaches. Frozen yellow peaches are available year-round at my local Trader Joe’s and I always have a few extra bags tucked away in the freezer. Frozen white peaches are not as sweet as yellow, so if you can only find the white variety, I recommend adding the honey (I usually don’t add any with the yellow peaches). If you have the time, you can freeze fresh peaches ahead of time, which is a great option during peak peach season. Read on to learn how!
Strawberries. Frozen strawberries add yet another layer of fresh, tart, fruit flavor. Since peaches are so sweet, the subtle tang from the strawberries works so well. Frozen raspberries would be a great substitute for a more tart flavor.
Wine. My favorite is Sauvignon Blanc for its slightly fruity flavor, but use whatever is your fav white or rose – Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, etc.
How To Freeze Peaches
Wash, peel, pit and slice fresh ripe peaches, then place in a single layer on a baking sheet (Note: Make sure the baking sheet can fit in your freezer). Freeze for at least 4 hours, but ideally overnight.
If not using right away, store in a plastic freezer storage bag or airtight container. When ready, simply use your homemade frozen peaches by following the recipe steps below!
How To Make Peach Wine Slushy
This blender-approved cocktail recipe is as easy as 1, 2, 3 – literally! Simply:
- Add all ingredients to your blender. Add frozen peaches, frozen strawberries, ice, and a bottle of wine.
- Sweeten, if desired. Add in a squirt or two of honey if a sweeter cocktail is desired (I usually leave it out).
- Blend! On high for 30 seconds, or until everything is smooth and slushy.
Peach Slushie Mocktail
If you prefer a non-alcoholic peach slushy recipe, simply replace the wine with an equal amount (a little over 3 cups) of white grape juice.
Fruity and delicious!
What Goes with Peach Wine?
I love to serve this peach wine recipe with anything spicy (especially green chiles), grilled chicken, crispy veggies or leafy green salads. Some of my favorite food pairings include:
- Easy Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas
- Grilled Lemon Chicken
- Zucchini and Corn Fritters
- Kale Caesar Chopped Salad
Recipe Tips:
- Freeze the glasses. Place your glasses of choice in the freezer at least 30 minutes – 1 hour beforehand. This holds the frozen, sorbet-like consistency of the slushy that much longer.
- Use yellow peaches. These are sweeter than white peaches. If white peaches are all you can find, I recommend adding a squeeze of honey for a touch of floral sweetness.
- Chill the wine. The colder the wine, the colder the frozen cocktail. To speed things up, wrap a damp paper towel around the bottle of wine and place it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Chilled wine in no time.
- Make it stronger. Add ½ – 1 cup vodka to really make it a party.

Just made this and am a very happy camper! Thanks!!
This looks amazing! Can leftovers be stored in the freezer? I’d be the only one drinking this and I’d best not drink it all at once.
Hi Libby! Surely! I place my whole blender container into the freezer with the lid on if I don’t finish it all and let it defrost a little before finishing the next day.
