A huge thank you to The Hangar 1 Distillery for sponsoring this post and keeping The College Housewife afloat!

Once a month or so I try and head over to my best friends Alex and Abbie for a night out. Luckily, I also work with Abbie daily #number1assistant but we love getting together with our other friends for a few rounds of cocktails. Their house is usually our first destination before a night out for someone’s birthday or just a glorified girls’ night.

When The Hangar 1 Distillery sent me a few bottles of their new honeycomb vodka to try, I knew it would make for the most perfect fall cocktail with my ladies. With a few strands of string lights, candles and a tray of these delicious spiced honey orange cocktails made for the most perfect balcony happy hour.

My friends (thankfully) are big eaters so before we went to dinner we whipped up these super cute blue cheese and pear toasts that were drizzled with honey and paired wonderfully with these cocktails. I highly recommend the combo the next time you need a quick and simple appetizer!

Ingredients for a Spiced Honey Orange Cocktail:

How to make Spiced Honey Orange Cocktails:

  1. Juice your fresh orange and lemon juices for each cocktail and set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add a cinnamon stick (break it if it is too large for the shaker), juices, honey, and Hangar 1 honeycomb vodka.
  3. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into a shallow coupe glass.
  4. Top each cocktail with a mini honey wand (I found mine here!) and a dried or fresh orange wedge before serving.

What does honeycomb vodka taste like?!

So, Hangar 1 honeycomb vodka is the perfect blend of very flavorful and a touch sweetness from the notes of honey but not too sweet! The vodka is actually infused with honeycomb, not just pure honey so it creates a very unique balance. The flavor pairs wonderfully with sweet and savory foods!
