It’s officially 12 days till Christmas! What?!
Yes really.
This weekend we finally got our tree! We got a little five footer for our apartment living room and let me tell you I love this little tree. It isn’t ginormous but it’s green, full and beautiful. Its like freshly blown out hair. We’ve got copper, glitter and some funky little ornaments like furry elephants and chewbaca.
Considering Rascal would probably try and eat the tree every single day, we took him with us to help pick it out. This little guys nose was in the air just smelling all the pine and being cute as can be. Outings like this really makes us feel like a little family.
We also seem to be going to holiday parties and having people over for dinner which I love! This weekend was my best friend Alex’s 25th birthday party. I also got to have my other best friend, Sabrina over for dinner. She brought her boyfriend (Evan) over for dinner. Meeting one of your dearest friends boyfriends for the first time is seriously makes me feel like a Mom having her daughters boyfriend over. Ha! But none the less we liked him and invited him back.
With friends and family coming over I always need a good cocktail on the ready. Considering I have three bottles of champagne on hand at all times (and that champagne is just so freaking festive) I thought I would pair the fizz with pomegranate for a refreshing winter combo!
Some of my favorite winter cocktail flavor combos are cinnamon, cranberry and pomegranate!
