Why you’ll love this watermelon vodka drink!

I don’t know about you guys but I am a HUGE watermelon lover. I can sit and eat an entire half of a watermelon poolside and be totally content.

These drinks are refreshing, light, and made with 4 simple ingredients: watermelon chunks, lime juice, vodka, and agave nectar.

A thirst quencher for a hot summer day! Not only are these cocktails less than 200 calories but they are naturally hydrating.

These come together in just five minutes (seriously!) and in just one blender. You can pour them through a fine-mesh sieve for a super smooth texture or just drink them right from the blender.

This simple recipe makes 2 double sized drinks or 4 single servings. If you want to make these for a crowd or a party you can simply double the recipe in the blender.

This is a summer cocktail MUST!

  • agave nectar or simple syrup, optional
  • ice

Step by step process on how to make watermelon vodka drink in a blender.

Blended watermelon vodka drink

I love this drink because it comes together in just one blender! Add in your watermelon chunks, lime juice, vodka, and agave or simple syrup. Blend on high until all the watermelon has been broken down and smooth.

You can drink this as is or over ice but I prefer to run it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove some of the watermelon pulp for an extra smooth cocktail.

A note on ice! Don’t add the ice right to the blender, it will make the drink a bit watered down. Pour the cocktail mixture over a glass with ice

What vodka should I use?

You can really use whatever vodka you prefer! I love something mid-grade like Titos or Hangar 1.

I also have heard great things about Smirnoff Watermelon Vodka. If you want these drinks to be a bit more punched up with a flavor I would give it a try!

Can dogs have watermelon?!

Yes! Dogs can have watermelon as a cool, summer snack! Just be sure to watch out for seeds and don’t let them chew on the rine as these can be hard on their stomach according to the AKC.

Racal loves to snack on some watermelon out in the backyard with us. It’s super hydrating and has only 50 calories a cup.

Can I make these as a non-alcoholic?!

Sure! If you’re looking to make these into a mocktail you can replace the vodka with lemonade or top them off with sparkling water.

  1. These are delicious, surprisingly easy to make, and were a great way to use up the whole watermelon I bought! The sieve leaves you with a super smooth cocktail, not grainy at all!

  2. These look great, Let’s make some at Banana’s.
