Summer is the season for fun in the sun, not running yourself ragged as bartender to your friends! Whether it’s the 4th of July, Memorial Day Weekend, or a low-key weekend gathering, here are 6 batched cocktails you can make ahead of time so your signature drink is ready to serve.

Why You Need To Make Big Batch Cocktails this summer
Shaking up individual cocktails gets old fast. I mean, it’s fine if it’s just one or two, but anything beyond that and you might as well ask for tips!
Imagine this: Your friends arrive for a day by the pool, you set out all of the prepared snacks, you serve everyone their first cocktail…and then you have to run back and forth all afternoon making refills? I don’t think so.
Big batch cocktails are the perfect way to keep the party going without interruption! Whether it’s a frozen fruity drink, a classic espresso martini, or a refreshing summer spritz, I have something for you!
Here are my 6 favorite summer cocktails that you can keep on rotation all season long.

Big Batch Hugo Spritz
The Hugo Spritz is the gentle, sweet, and floral cousin of the Aperol Spritz, and this recipe will make a big batch of it! Instead of a bitter liqueur, the Hugo calls for a delightful elderflower liqueur that gives this spritz an overall lighter flavor. I know you and your guests will want seconds (and thirds), so here’s a big batch recipe that’ll keep you sipping all night long!

FAQs
It depends on the drink, but generally 3-5 days in the fridge! If the recipe calls for bubbles, simply mix the recipe, refrigerate it, and add the bubbles before serving. Otherwise, the cocktail will go flat. Oh, also add the ice before serving, too – you don’t want it to get watered down.
Here’s an easy trick: Freeze an element of your recipe and use that as your ice cubes! For example, orange juice and lime juice (or any fruit juice for that matter) make a great, flavorful cube. You can also freeze your garnish, like strawberries or orange slices, to keep your cocktail cool.
