My lychee cocktail spritz is the easiest, elevated cocktail you’ll make all season! Each sip is light, bubbly and slightly floral.
This lychee drink tastes like an elevated cocktail from a fancy bar but comes together in a minute!

The first time I ever tried a lychee cocktail was at Din Tai Fung (their lychee martini) and I was hooked!
This is the ultimate girls night drink. It’s slightly floral and tastes so tropical and exotic. I knew without a doubt that these flavors would make the best spritz!
why you’ll love this lychee spritz
- It looks fancy! This lychee drink looks and tastes so elevated! Just like you’ve ordered it from your favorite boutique bar or a restaurant like Din Tai Fung
- Light and refreshing: each sip is a little floral, slightly citrusy, bubbly and effervescent. Great for warm summer days and patio parties
- A great entertaining cocktail: If you want to serve something a little unique, gorgeous and quick to make, the lychee spritz is great to serve at any gathering
- Flavorful but not overly sweet: this drink is balanced and has strong flavor notes without being too syrupy or sugary

what are lychees?
Lychee is a small stone fruit that is native to China! They have a red alligator like skin that is peeled and a pit in the center that you remove before eating.
You can buy them fresh or canned from asian markets like H-Mart. If these grocers are not available, you can order them – they’re just a bit pricier!
I love using canned lychee syrup in cocktails like this one, they provide a natural sweetness and flavor that is unmatched.
Lychees have a lightly floral and tropical vibe to them.

Ingredients:
- Canned lychees in syrup – gives just the right amount of sweetness and flavor
- Fresh lime juice – brightens the cocktails and adds a little zip!
- Gin – pairs perfectly with all the floral notes of the lychee drink
- Elderflower Liqueur – adds a touch of floral essence and sweetness
- Prosecco – top the drink off for bubbles and a true spritz feel
- Fresh mint – for vibes and garnish
- Lime wheel – for garnish
- Canned lychees – for garnish

how to make a lychee spritz:
- Add a few scoops of ice to a wine glass or stemless glass
- Add in lychee syrup, lime juice, gin, and elderflower liqueur to the glass. Stir together gently.
- Top the glass off with prosecco
- Garnish with fresh mint, lime wheel and a few canned lychees on a cocktail pick – these are my fav picks!

Tips for the best lychee cocktail spritz
- Chill your ingredients: this keeps your drink extra crisp and bubbly
- Add soda water: if you like a spritz a little lighter (I love an Aperol Soda) try adding a little soda water on top
- Used canned lychees in heavy syrup: lychees also come in water or juice but this heavy lychee syrup is perfectly sweet for the drink
- Freeze your lychees: you can freeze your lychees and they will keep your drink extra cold like ice cubes
- Use fresh citrus: always and forever for the best flavor!
- Prosecco: I like to use a prosecco that is on the dryer side to avoid overly sweetening the drink

other spritz recipes to try:
- Hugo Spritz – A delicate and herbaceous spritz recipe made with elderflower liquor, Prosecco, fresh mint and sparkling water. You can make a big batch version too!
- Passion Fruit Spritz – It’s a little sweet, a lot fruity, and very tropical
- Martini Spritz – light, refreshing, and super smooth blend of a martini and spritz
- Lambrusco Pomegranate Spritz – this spritz is made with delicious lambrusco Italian wine instead of prosecco to give it an added layer of depth – and flavor!
