This easy peach martini recipe is citrusy, slightly sweet and perfect for summer entertaining. A peach vodka cocktail that is great for a summer dinner party menu or when you’re craving a drink that is extra peachy!

In June I had a few girlfriends over for a southern style dinner party.
We made fried catfish, macaroni and cheese, grits, and monkey bread. To start the evening out I made this new peach martini recipe and everyone loved them!
They’re made with fresh peaches, a delicious peach honey syrup, vodka and triple sec.
I knew instantly they needed to be crafted and shared. This peach vodka cocktail has turned into one of my favorite cocktails for summer! Cheers!

ingredients:
for the homemade honey peach syrup:
- honey
- water
- fresh peach, diced

for the peach vodka cocktail:
- fresh lemon juice
- fresh peach, diced
- vodka
- triple sec
- honey peach syrup

how to make this peach martini:
- Prepare the homemade honey peach syrup: in a small sauce pot add honey, water and diced fresh peaches. Mix together and heat on medium-low heat until mixture begins to simmer, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and allow the mixture to steep for 10-15 minutes. Drain through a fine mesh sieve and set aside to cool completely.
*Note – you can reserve the peaches to top on yogurt bowls, overnight oats, pancakes, etc!

- For the peach martini recipe: add 1/2 ripe diced peach to the cocktail shaker tin. Muddle together until the peaches have been smashed and released their juices.
- Add fresh lemon juice, vodka, triple sec, and honey peach syrup to the cocktail shaker.
- Add 1-2 scoops of ice, seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds or until the outside of the shaker is very cold.
- Strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass and garnish with a fresh peach slice

tips:
- JUICY peaches – for the homemade honey peach syrup and the peach cocktail find the juiciest, ripest peaches you can get your hands on. You can always let them ripen a little on the counter but you really need those juices for optimum fresh flavor. This also helps deepen the color of the drink.
- Chilled glass – I try and serve all of my martinis in a chilled glass straight from the freezer – these are my current fav coupe glasses!
- Good quality vodka – for any martini I always recommend using a good quality vodka (or gin) because it’s such a main ingredient and doesn’t ever get watered down with ice
- Shake, shake, shake – a great vodka based martini (like a cosmo) are shaken HARD! This creates a nice balanced flavor and makes the drink icy cold

Can I make the peach honey syrup in advance?
Yes, totally! I recommend making it ahead of time if you know you’ll be mixing up a few cocktails. It will keep in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
The peach honey syrup also works great in a batch of old fashioned or your fav bourbon based cocktail
