This Limoncello Spritz Recipe is the perfect summer cocktail! A delightful combination of limoncello, prosecco, soda water, this drink transports you straight to a sunny, blue sky day on the Italian coast. Be sure to make a big batch – this spritz is going to go fast!
Why You’ll Love This Limoncello Spritz Recipe
Nothing says summer joy quite like the bright and refreshing taste of lemon! This limoncello spritz is the perfect cocktail for sipping on during both a sunny daytime party or a steamy summer night. The zesty citrus flavors will make you feel refreshed, while the prosecco and soda water keep things light and bright!
Limoncello is served in Italy as an aperitivo or digestif, meaning it’s served before or after a meal as a slowly sipped drink that aids in digestion. I love enjoying this limon liqueur the traditional way, but it’s so delicious that I knew it deserved to be a spritz. This drink is like the sweet and citrusy sister of the ever-famous Aperol spritz.
And don’t worry, this recipe makes a big batch! I know it’s going to become everyone’s favorite drink and I wanted to get ahead of the game. Enjoy!

FAQs
Limoncello is typically made with a neutral alcohol like vodka. That’s why I chose to add vodka to this spritz – it pairs well with a classic limoncello.
It’s all in the base ingredient/flavor! They’re both fizzy and refreshing, but this limoncello recipe is sweet/citrusy and made with, well…limoncello, while its aperol sister is more bitter and made with – you guessed it – aperol! They’re practically the same exact cocktail, you just swap those two ingredients. Check out my DIY Aperol Spritz Bar so you can make a limoncello bar this summer.
