Ingredients

This pink mocktail is made with only 5 ingredients. We will need:

apple juice, club soda, lemon, egg, grenadine

  • Apple juice
  • Lemon juice
  • Grenadine
  • Egg white
  • Club soda (optional)

Ingredient notes & substitutions:

  • Apple juice: Apple cider can also be used, just note the color will be a bit cloudier.
  • Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed lemon juice will give the best flavor.
  • Egg white: If you are concerned about consuming raw eggs, replace it with 2 tablespoons aquafaba or bottled cocktail foam.

How do you make a pink lady

A pink lady mocktail is ready before your girlfriends arrive, giving you plenty of time to make a bunch for a crowd. Here’s how to do it:

Egg white foam tips

The egg white in this drink makes for that super special foamy top. Just like any egg white cocktail, we want to make sure we are consuming the freshest eggs as possible. Here are some of my best tips when using raw egg in a cocktail:

  • If you can find them, opt for pasteurized eggs. Davidson’s Safest Choice is a popular brand.
  • Perform a fresh egg test: Fill a tall glass with cold water and add the egg. If it sinks to the bottom and turns to the side, it’s very fresh. If it floats on the surface, the egg should be discarded.

Serving suggestions

Nothing says fun and laughs with your girlfriends than some snacks to go along with it. Whether you make these for Galantine’s Day, Valentine’s Day or just because, I love to serve these with:

Recipe tips & notes:

  • Shake for at least 30 seconds. This ensures the egg white is mixed in with the other ingredients, creating that spectacular foam.
  • If going the cocktail route, seek out Laird & Company brand of applejack for the best flavor.
  • Invest in a jigger. If you are an avid cocktail / mocktail maker, a jigger (those 1/2 and 1 ounce measuring cups) makes for comfortable pouring and the best cocktails!
