This Big Batch Spiked Pumpkin Punch is a big batch recipe for the ages! Enjoy smooth and creamy homemade maple pumpkin syrup stirred into a citrus-tinged mixture, topped off with vodka and hard pumpkin cider. You can make an additional batch without alcohol if you have little ones running around, but otherwise, this spiked punch is great for sipping all autumn long!
Why You’ll Love This Spiked Pumpkin Punch
I love serving an unforgettable cocktail at my parties, and friends, this big batch of Spiked Pumpkin Punch is a memorable one! I’ve served big batches of espresso martinis, pomegranate margaritas, and hugo spritz’ to much love and fanfare, but I don’t know if anything went down as quickly as this spiked punch!
The homemade maple pumpkin syrup gives the punch a delicious natural pumpkin flavoring, while the vodka and ciders give it a punch (😉) of spiked fun. I also added orange and lemon juice so the citrus can lift the fall spices and let them sing!
If you’re not quite into pumpkin the way I am but you want a fall cocktail, try this maple old fashioned for a fun treat. However, I hope you enjoy this new big batch recipe; let me know what you think!

FAQs
Can I use a real pumpkin as the punch bowl?
That would be SO fun and festive. I can’t say it would be my first choice because it would take a bit of extra work, but I love the idea. Just scoop out all of the pulp until the inside of the pumpkin is completely hollow and clean. This technique would probably work better if you’re serving your punch inside because bugs might be attracted to the pumpkin.
How long does pumpkin syrup last?
The beauty of this syrup is that it lasts for up to 2 weeks in the fridge! Allow it to cool, store it in a clean airtight container, and refrigerate. You can use your syrup for pancakes, coffee, your yogurt and granola, etc.
How do I keep my punch cold?
There are a few ways you can go about this. One option is to serve ice on the side so it doesn’t water down your punch and that way people can cool their drinks to their liking. Another is to simply put the ice in the punch and enjoy! Finally, you can mix and freeze part of the mixture into ice cubes and then use that to cool your punch so it doesn’t get watered down at all. I’d recommend using orange juice!
Serving Suggestions
Since pumpkin is one ingredient I can’t get enough of, I have a bunch of serving suggestions so you can stay on theme as you serve your punch.
- You can serve whatever you want for apps and dinner, but then complement your punch with a sweet pumpkin treat. Pumpkin oatmeal cookies or a pumpkin dump cake would do the trick!
- Love pumpkin but want to serve something savory instead? Easy! Pumpkin mac and cheese is a real crowd-pleaser for a cookout/potluck type of event, and a spicy pumpkin soup would be great for a sit-down dinner.
- As a huge fan of brunch, I’d serve pumpkin chocolate chip scones alongside some savory brunch dishes and offer un-spiked pumpkin punch (with some vodka and ciders on the side so your guests can spike it if they’d like).
