Ingredients

alcohol, agave, cocktail shaker, cranberry juice, lemon, and raspberries on a marble counter top

This recipe only calls for five simple ingredients – but make sure you go for freshness and quality!

  • Fresh raspberries
  • Juice of a lemon
  • Agave
  • Cranberry juice
  • Vodka (or gin)

Substitutions + Variations

  • Use a different kind of berry if want! Blueberries and lemon are a match made in heaven!
  • No agave? Just use simple syrup or grenadine. You can even make your own simple syrup with extra raspberries for additional flavor.
  • If you’re swapping out the raspberries for a different berry, you can use another juice that’d pair better. If you simply don’t have the cranberry juice, you can omit it, or muddle more raspberries with your lemon juice to add more raspberry flavor.
  • Use raspberry-flavored alcohol if you don’t have the juice (I wouldn’t recommend a flavored alcohol in addition the juice though).

Martini Recipe Tips

  • Use a good muddler so you know you’re getting the most out of your ingredients. You want to get all of those good raspberry juices infused into your drink.
  • Fresh ingredients are the best ingredients! You’ll want to make sure your raspberries are perfectly ripe. If you wouldn’t love eating it, you won’t love drinking it.
  • Use good alcohol. Since martinis are so heavy on vodka (or gin), you want to make sure it’s a nice sipping quality.
