Introducing Thanksgiving’s most sophisticated cocktail ever! Move your ice chest of beer and boxed wine outside this year because there is a new cocktail in town! The flavors in this cocktail basically feel like Fall in a glass. This cocktail is comprised of a homemade rosemary simple syrup, whiskey and my favorite: hard apple cider! I think hard apple cider is an amazing secret weapon when making fall cocktails! The bubbles and subtle sweetness give every easy cocktail a little omph!

To make your busy holiday easier, be sure to make the simple syrup the night before or even a few days ahead of time! Doing this will make being ‘bartender’ miles easier! Follow along this easy recipe below for this years Thanksgiving cocktail!

Apple Cider Whiskey Rose

Servings: 8
This cocktail is comprised of a homemade rosemary simple syrup, whiskey and my favorite: hard apple cider! I think hard apple cider is an amazing secret weapon when making fall cocktails!

ingredients
 

  • 12 Ounces of whiskey
  • 1 Cup of rosemary simple syrup
  • 8 Large ice block cubes
  • Sparkling apple cider or hard apple cider
  • For garnish: rosemary sprig apple slices

instructions
 

  • Fill shaker with whiskey, rosemary simple syrup and ice. Shake for 30 seconds. Pour whiskey mixture evenly into 8 whiskey glasses.
  • Place a large ice block into each glass. Top each cocktail with a splash of sparkling apple cider. Garnish with rosemary sprig and apple slices.

To make rosemary simple syrup, bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a simmer. Remove from heat and add in three 5-inch rosemary sprigs. Steep for 20 minutes and strain mixture into a jar.
