Why You’ll Love This Game Day Snack board

Every since I was a little kid, I have always remembered Sundays being dedicated to football. As a kid, it was the worst thing ever because I was insanely bored, and I couldn’t figure out why everyone was screaming at the television.

I have since grown to understand (not the game! Ha!) that football is actually a culture, a mindset set and a tradition. I may not understand the game… but I understand that it’s a tradition that lives on in America, and most importantly, brings everyone together.

When I host on gameday, I like keeping everyone in the living room so I can get more family time (and because everyone always wants to stay close to the TV for the game). To make it easy on everyone, I always put together a good snack board! It’s my go-to for any party or gathering.

Everything You need to make a good snack board

I love to stock up on HUGE cheeseboards whenever I see them. They make the perfect blank ‘canvas’ for a masterpiece of a snack board. I use them for cheese, dessert platters, and in this case, for a good game day snack board! I can put a little something for everyone on the board to nibble on between quarters.

today’s snack board ingredients

For this game day board, I am stocking it up with my favorite crudité items like celery, carrots, sugar snap peas, hummus and ranch. My Dad loves snacking on nuts during sporting games so some pistachios were totally necessary!

To bulk up my board, I’m adding in a small batch of buffalo cauliflower and my favorite Alpha Plant-Based Burritos! These all-day burritos are my go-to for amping up any meal! Plus, I’m always trying to introduce my family to healthier, plant-based options. I love to add them to soups and or cut them up for an appetizer board for cocktails.

snack board Variations

Play around with your favorite dips, snacks, and veggies! If you love queso, add a bowl to your board with some chips and beans. If you’re a salty (and martini) lover like me, add these Martini Marinated Blue Cheese Olives.

Another fan-favorite is Hot Honey Whipped Ricotta Dip for your veggies or crusty chunks of bread. And speaking of cheese – super duper cheesy Cheese Fries are always a good option!
